ich unterstütze Michael's Idee gerne.

Ich bedaure, durch meine Kommentierung von Michaels rhetorisch gemeinter Frage, warum der im "Ricano" gezeigte "Qilt" nicht einfach als Rock bezeichnet werden kann, diesen unsäglichen Thread zumindest indirekt ausgelöst zu haben. Allerdings trage ich dafür keine Veranwortung, schließlich wollte ich dieses Forum weiter bringen und nicht zurück werfen.

Mangels Zeit lehne ich es ab, mir einen Thread bestehend aus 77 Einträgen zu lesen oder mich gar dort zu beteiligen. Stattdessen möchte ich konstruktiver vorgehen und die Einbeziehung der Sichtweise unter www.kiltmen.com für die von Michael beabsichtigte Definition vorschlagen.

Was mir an den hier zitierten Zeilen so gefällt ist, dass der Widerspruch zwischen Kilt und Rock nicht gesehen wird und überdies sogar der deutsche Männerrock ausdrücklich gewürdigt wird. Das heißt für mich: Jede Form des Tragens eines einröhrigen Beinbekleidungsstückes ist hochwillkommen!

Das gilt übrigens auch für die Gothic-Röcke, wenngleich ich diese persönlich nicht sonderlich schön finde.

P.S.: Ich wollte natürlich nicht Eure Englisch-Kenntnisse in Zweifel ziehen sondern Euch die Mühe der Wörterbuch-Blätterei ersparen. Für eine komplette Übersetzung fehlt mir im Moment die Zeit.
